Hello Jack smith:
I am very new at this Radio part.
What were these off ...where were they used !
Last summer I picked up a WW11 MB jeep.
This has turned out to be an USMC Radio Jeep.
Very rare... in that the jeep had a Power Take Off that came up through the
floor between the driver and pass. seats At that location, off the PTO,
was a pulley and belt drive to special generator that powered the Radios.
it was an MB jeep with original USMC marking still visible.
Then it has obviously become a farm jeep with an added tailgate. I have two
totally separate MB's both with the solid rear of the tub removed.
I guess it was the best way to make a pickup out of these jeeps.
Anyone with more info please reply to this message.
