I recently received delivery of two Soviet/Russian military motorcycles.
Both are the typical sidecar units ,descendents of the original BMW R71
copies but with swing arm suspension--both are early '60s production with
flathead/sidevalve engines. Both have clearly documented military history
and are outfitted with proper accessories. One is the relatively common KMZ
K750 single wheel drive.

Geting to the point of this email, the second unit is a KMZ MV750K (in
russian Cyrillic alphabet this is MB750K), with differential driven sidecar
wheel and a manually operated differential lock mechanism for operation in
extreme tactical situations of mud, snow, sand, etc. Mike Weaver, the expert on
this type of motorcycle (his book is the most complete english language
reference) tells me that this bike with both drive and lock is exceedingly
rare and , to his knowledge, there are no others in the US. Does anyone on
the list own or know of these in the US? I cannot find any in MVA records or
the MVPA Directory. It is also my understanding that this model was only
issued to airborne/air assault and special forces type units. Again, can
anyone confirm this?

Second question--Does anyone know of a source of 10 litre--repeat 10
litre--fuel cans in the Warsaw Pact pattern--looks like half size
conventional jerry can? Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
