Sando & List,
Some CUCV Quirks. Expect the glow plugs not to work. If they don't, it
will be VERY hard to start. On mine, I poured a SMALL amount of gasoline
(No-No Juice) down the intake manifold. Note: this is not recommended and
should be considerred a last ditch remedy.
If you turn the key and the lights come on but then turn it to start and
nothing at all happens, check they relays behind the dash. They are next to
the big diagnostic plug. If this still doesn't work, the starter can be hot
wired by putting 12volts to the purple wire on the starter. The big cable
on the starter itself is 24volts, so don't use it if you can avoid it.
If you still can't get it to start, hook up the towbar and drag that bitch
home. Disconnect the rear drive shaft and put transmission and transfer in
nuetral.
