They used lots of our aircraft durring WW2. They would even go as far as to
repair our captured aircraft and leave them in our markings and try to go up
an re join a formation with a german crew.
The russian B-29 is a good story, they got ahold of a couple B29's
that Boeing Built and they completly took apart one while the other was used
for flight tests. They copied every single part until they had a set of
drawings. They needed a long range bomber fast so they copied ours and
built their own version. I think they only produced a hundered but the
origional Boeing Built B29 stayed as a test bed airplane long after their
own had been retired. I think It was doucumented that it flew up until the
60's.

FYI, did you know that one of the origional Dolittle Raider
B-25's landed in russia............................Heard thoughts on some of
the documents they got from the KGB said that the airplane still existed in
1960.......................what a find that would be.
