Hi List,
I was just watching the local news and saw a deuce helping to evacuate some
people in a flooded area. It sounds like it belongs to the fire dept., but
it's in regular 3 color camo paint, so the army may have lent it out (not
far from Ft. Eustis - but no soldiers in the news footage, just firemen).
The news people called it an "army type jeep", but it's a deuce for sure.
Full of soaking wet people, sitting on the troop seats, glad to have some
dry metal underneath them, on their way to a shelter. Hey, if the water
gets too high, they can always put the fording kit on it!
Always great to see these trucks in action - especially unexpectedly on the
news close to home! (Newport News, VA.)
