Here is another one.
While driving the Deuce last week, cruising at close to 50mph, I stepped on
the gas a little more to move to the right lane. I heard a noise that only
can be described as a VERY short shrill (I backed off the gas right away).
The thing that came to mind were the turbo fins hitting on something, or the
clutch (ceramic??) slipping (like someone's finger nails on the black
board). I cannot reproduce the noise standing still though. If I drive the
truch normally it doesn't happen, but if I allow it to build rpm to about
2200 before shifting it it will do it. The clutch is probably worn since it
disingauge very close to the top. I was also told it may be a U joint, but
I would imagine I could reproduce such standing still if it was it.
Any ideas?
