just think of the possible damage to the engine bearings, which are
probably dry, not to mention possibly bending a connecting
rod.................. some old tractor engines are very forgiving and
turn at very low rpm at best. my 1946 cat grader has unbelievably loose
specs for the bearings and allows a lot of out of round for the
journals, but it will only turn 1200 rpm max. most gas vehicle engines
are not going to be very happy about turning 4000 rpm with damaged
bearings.......
