the ten ton tractor does have turning brakes (m-123) when it is pulling
hard, there may not be enough weight on the front tires to turn. (or
they may not even be on the ground, being several inches up) there is a
lever on the left? side of the steering column as i recall below the
turn signal. you can apply brakes to either side of the rear for
steering, and it is very effective. this system was strictly an air
system without spring chambers, hence no air, no brakes at all.
