You radio buffs......
Is there any interest in replacement mic elements for either the H33F handset
or the M-29A hand microphone?
I found a possible source that may panout. I'll need to purchase AND check
a few
to be sure that they do in fact work.
Carbon mics don't age well.
Of my 6 H33s, only one
works at all, and of my 3 M29s none do.
I am working on a dynamic mic substitute, but need more time to develope one
that has the flexibility and utility of the old carbon unit.
A note, the PRC-6 FM handy-talkie uses the same mic element as the H33
handset.
ONLY IF THE ONES I GET WORK!!!:
The handset ELEMENT will be $8.75,
AND the M-29 ELEMENT will be (ouch! there aren't to many of these) $25.25.
These are for the PRC-6, 8-10, RT-70, 66-68 sets and others of the late 40s
and 50s.
Off list is fine,
Ted Hintopoulos.
