You are correct if the truck has been converted to a hydraulic steering
system. But that is unlikely, as the government didn't convert these trucks
to hydraulic steering. The remanufactured deuces were equipped with our
air-assist system, which reverts to "plain old" steering if the ssytem is
turned off or bypassed for maintenance reasons. This, along with the
relatively inexpensive conversion, is why TACO went with the air ssytem.
