The seller, a dealer known to most of us for his excellent trucks, has
stated incorrectly that no special license is required to operate the
tractor. In The People's Republik of Nueva Yok, as in most states, one must
have a Class 1 CDL if the tractor is pulling a trailer, and a Class 2 CDL if
the tractor is operated solo. The only exception is a farmer, travelling a
route that is preplanned and a condition on his Farm registration. I don't
mean to rain on anyone's parade, just trying to head off any disappointment
on the part of a potential buyer. It is a beautiful truck, and rather rare,
in this condition. Arthur P. Bloom
