Just a quick note Skip.
My neighbor two houses down was a Marine on Iwo Jima, He told me of a time
painting their vehicle a camouflage pattern. He went on to say, he believed
the paint to be a milk based paint. He said the guys painting the vehicles
broke out in a rash. I can ask him tonight if he's out about what the colors
were.

Subject: [MV] WWII Navy and Marine Corp vehicle colors
Hi!
I have some questions about WWII Navy and Marine Corps vehicle colors. 1. US
Navy WWII vehicles were painted grey. Was the grey flat, semi-gloss or
gloss? 2. What color did the Navy paint vehicles in combat areas? 3. Did the
Marine Corps paint their vehicles Marine Corp Green or Olive Drab? Thanks
for any help you can give! Skip
