The oil pressure in my Duece, which has the original White built 465 1C engine with no rebuild and roughly 10,000 miles is 50psi at 650 idle rpm when hot. 60 psi at 1000 rpm up. I run the same extended change interval 15-40 oil that I use in my diesel farm tractors. I last changed the oil in May of 2002 and with almost 3,000 miles on it it is down maybe a bit over 1 quart. As far as life expectancy goes on these engines....I don't see why they could not last 150-200k miles before a major if the maint is done on them correctly and the rpm are kept down below 25-2600, which is much higher than most diesels this size are designed to work at. They would go much farther if the gearing was higher, say around 5.62. jja
