Just an update...
Didn't get to do much today, 12 volt subsystem took most of the time...
I have removed the dashboard plate and checked the ground point that Julian
mentioned in another mail. From both inside and outside it appears to be
pretty much new. All four contacts seem to be nice and clean.
I found the wiring diagram. Also looked at both wait and parking brake
lights. They appear to be LEDs. They appear to have 24v to them all the time
and PCB provides ground when they must be turned on. Both should not
directly be affected by bad ground. Thus, PCB is a suspect once again.
I was also able to reproduce the brake light problem. However, this time
turning the headlights on resulted in the faint light on the parking brake
LED to diappear.
I have access to a tester that plugs into STE/ICE connector. Are there any
tests I could run to check the PCB for malfunction? Is there a TM for
diagnosing this kind of problems?
Since PCB is rather new and rather expensive, I'd like to try any possible
test before getting a new PCB...
Thank you,
Vadim.
