Gene,

Run the generator for at least one hour every two weeks to keep
fungicide down, keeps the oil "dry" (no moisture <water> in the oil) and
keeps the batteries charged. Change oil and filter once a year if you run
engine a Minimum of once every two weeks. Change coolant every two years
regardless of how many or how few hours you put on her, this will prevent
corrosion. If not equipped add a coolant filter assembly and use the
filters with anti-corrosion all ready inside the filter. Commonly used on
class 8 trucks IE: Mack, Kenworth, Peterbilt, GMC, Volvo, etc. real simple
and generally is installed with two water shutoff valves so you don't loose
but a little coolant when changing filters.
