LIST: This thing is a real treasure. Never seen anything like
it, not in any of the books I have. Data tag said what I stated
above. made by Oneida Ltd, of Canastota, NY. Tires are shot but
size is 8.25 X 18! (yes , 18!) Same size as WWII bomb trailer. I
need a set of those tires - anyone have a line of those or
similar? Any tread will do. The tires on it are Goodrich
Silvertowns. Rims are marked 6 of 41 and 10 of 41 so it is likely
this trailer was manufactured just before the beginning of the
war. Also, the entire superstructure of the trailer, skin and
extruded rear bumpers are all aluminum. When the war started that
would not have been the material used in this trailer's
construction. Interior has several original bunk beds that fold
down from the walls, lots of cupboards, a drain that under the
little sink that flows into a tank and work areas to the left.
Triangular shaped foot (mud removal?) grate just as you walk in
the door on right side of the trailer. Entire skin is corrugated
aluminum with all yellow and red reflectors and standard pintle
tow lunette ring, trailer brakes and a frame bolted to the outside
with poles in a closet inside the trailer for a canopy to cover
the entire outside of the trailer.. Tie down all along the sides
for canvas I presume. Fold down aluminum covered windows rear and
forward.
