My suggestion
purchase fuel at truck stops that pump lots of fuel, fuel will have (at
least should have) conditioners necessary for weather conditions where truck
stop is located. Maybe even make more frequent stops than necessary the
further toward great frozen north you get.
In my part of the country (west Tenn.) #1 is sold in such low volume that I
would be some afraid to use in truck (also runs 40+ cents per gallon higher
than road fuel)
I use fuel conditioner winter and summer ( may be a waste of money but makes
me fell better), if truck is driven a lot summer use might not be necessary.
I have also been told that #1 (kerosene) does not have enough oil in it - do
not take my suggestions to be written in granite for where I live
temperature seldom gets below 15F or so.
