Greetings listers. I have a problem with the trailer brake system on my
M275A2 tractor. Here's the problem, when I open the valve on the emergency air
line w whisp of air comes out then nothing. It does this at the semi trailer
connection or the rear pintle area connection. On my M35A2 I have full air on the
emergency side trailer brake connection. I even tried hooking up my 1/4 inch
air impact to the emergency line and it spins for just a second and then
nothing. The -361-20 TM has replacement instructions for the shuttle valve and
trailer protection valve but no information on their troubleshooting or their
functions. I suspect that my problem is either the shuttle valve or the trailer
protection valve. Anybody have any thoughts on this one. I wonder how the
trailer protection valve functions in relation to the tractor protection valve in
a commercial semi? If any of you military tractor owners have any info on
this, I sure could use the help.
Regards,
Kenny
