I hope he didn't hydrolock. A lot of people don't realize the danger of
water getting in the engine. We went through a flooded area of the
highway once and people were lined up with dead cars after the puddle.
my guess was that they hit the water at high speed, ingesting water the
whole way. People (newbies) on our Jeep board do it all the time.
