The M246 is kind of a dated design. One of it's major functions would be to
pick up aircraft fuselages and put them on the flatbed trailer in tow. Most of
these have an enclosed seat on the crane. Drawbacks of the truck is the
longer wheebase than the M62 or M543A2 wreckers and the lack of a rear drag winch.
Still a very neat truck none the less. There was also an 800 series of the
same truck produced that had Cummins power. Be forwarned, if you buy this truck
for any price, get stock in a gasoline refiner. They have loads of torque but
consume fuel by the tank load.
