I agree wholeheartedly. I've used both the Gillespie 24087 and the Aervoe
equivalent (997A, I think), and found the Aervoe to be closer in colour to
original equipment. I've held off using the Aervoe paint for any of the
trucks and large-scale stuff because list members have said in the past that
the paint takes on a "pink" cast as it weathers, and that's not something
I'd care to find myself explaining! The Gillespie paint sprays wonderfully.
I use it exclusively for the CARC jobs on HMMWV and M35/54/813/925 vehicles,
and it seems to weather very well. It's just annoying knowing the colour
itself is a little 'off' what I see on unrestored vehicles (and I'm talking
"inside and behind" painted surfaces - not the ones exposed to the full
force of the bleaching sun and wind and junk.)
