This list is to help people who own HMVs. It is not to try to put something
over on them. I have listed my experience at trying to disengage one rear
axle on a deuce. Now the deuce I was doing this on was a CCKW, not
an M35. That is why I suggested someone thinking about your product
try removing the interaxle drive shaft before they invested in your new
product. I am sure you have created a nice well built product. However
if the application is wrong, then what...? I have no idea what will happen
with an M35. It is heavier than a CCKW on the one hand, but has larger
tires with possibly the same overall ground pressure on the other hand.
I have driven my primary CCKW over 50,000+ miles myself with no
drivetrain problems. I have tried a lot of things to improve gas mileage
or reduce friction and binding. I freely offer my experience and advice
in this and other HMV forums. I am selling nothing, making nothing from
this time spent giving my best unbiased advise.
I have questioned other HMV ideas that I have been tried and probably within
a year, you will see one of my "experiments" that will not work in MV mag
because people have said it will work but w/o pictures. I will take my time
to install a different transmission temporarly in a truck so that I may take
pictures to prove it is an impossible (to me) or at best dangerous
conversion.
I call them as I see/experience them. I have no axe to grind or $ to make. I
will write a book someday, but for now all my advice is free and only
advice.
I do not know you or 99% of the people in here. I was offering my advice.
You took the time to engineer a device based upon request(s) made to you.
If these people did not try this for a long period or at all, then there may
be
a problem. That is why I said:

Thank You
