Although I can't speak intelegently for towing the M37 specifically, I do
have some towing experience. Assuming your buyer can get the truck on the dolly
and it works OK, I wouldn't fool with pulling the rear drive shaft. Instead I
would pull the rear axle shafts. You can fab up a blockoff out of a piece of
wood. This would eliminate spinning that 5.89 gearset. If he's driving the civy
truck he will eventually get comfortable and probably get up to 65 or so. I
think the tow dolly will work as long as the truck fits width wise. I don't know
how the M37 does on a towbar but my exploits of moving deuces with towbars
now exceeds 3000 miles. The are a problem in town but on the highway not too
bad. Either way he won't be backing up with the dolly or the towbar.
