Hi all.
I need a rear Main seal for a White LD-465-1C engine form a 1970
Kaiser-Jeep M45A2 (M109A3 Shop/Instrumentation Van). As an aside, I have
unsuccessfully used NOS rear outer axle seals in the past and would like to
find a source for a brand-spanking new rear main.
Since I'll have the tranny, flywheel, etc. pulled, what other parts should
I consider replacing?
My list is:
Clutch
Pressure plate
Throwout bearing
Pilot Bushing/bearing
And, can anyone provide me with info on clutches, etc.? My feeling that NOS
clutch, pressure plate, bearing/bushing would be fine but I want to stay
away from 30 year old rubber (ie: seals).
I am going to call Memphis, Antelope Valley, and Sam Winer motors but would
appreciate any responses, advice, horror stories, etc..
Thnx!
-K
