Similarly, for my M29C Weasel to run legally on any property other than
my own (one small exception) I have to have it registered as a
snowmobile. In my state a snowmobile has to have brake lights. Although
I do not have to prove this in order to get the license, I would be in
trouble if it ever got noticed by a Warden out on the trails. So I
rigged up something since the Weasel only has a blackout light. and no
break peddle.
I also had to flip my 710M Pinzgauer's tail lights around because
apparently in Europe they use amber for break and read for turn (or
something like that). Whatever it was, it is the opposite of what DOT
rules stipulate. Fortunately it only required pulling some screws and
turning the housing 180 degrees. Gotta love the simple problems!!
