All,

I also wonder what show Rick was at ??? He sure as H*** did not go in &
look around the show grounds. Just because the vendors tentage & tarps were
destroyed, does not mean the abandoned the show. Some were forced to
relocate.

I was there with my M38A1 & a few items. My trailer was set up for the
"KWVA" Korean War Veterans Association, as it contains posters about the
Korean War. Met a few more Korean Vets, including a Korean Veteran that
arrived on SUNDAY MORNING, from Connecticut. He was looking for a used
M-37 Windshield.

Just seeing Vinnie's wrecker, still up & fully extended, on SUNDAY MORNING,
was worth the $6.

On Saturday Afternoon, late, we helped Art Swain load his 2 1/2 Ton to the
gills, with his merchandize, most wet & some new items, it was almost dark,
when Art finished & had something to eat.

Saturday morning the water was up to the running boards on my Conversion
Van. But, it drained off quite well after the rain stopped. Some vendors
moved & re-set up inside & on higher ground.

The Military Transport Association group moved from the flooded section up
onto a Gazebo & did not leave until Sunday.

A vendor arrived on SATURDAY MORNING due to flood delays & set up on a
building platform. He remained until after dark. Rick missed out, as that
is where Art found some great items. Those items, no doubt will show up
for sale at the MTA Show in Dover NJ, tentatively set for the beginning of
April 2005.

Rick could not have been very far away from the show, since I took 1 3/4
hours to go the 1 hour normal drive to Hackettstown NJ.

As an aside, doesn't Rick realize that we spent a heck-of-a-lot more than $6
to attend & set up for Thursday -Sunday.

Our THANKS, not complaints should be going to the Red Ball Transport Club.
THANKS also to the hardy collectors that came for bargains, IN THE RAIN &
after the rains let up a little.

We left Gilbert on SUNDAY, slightly damp, but a happy Military Transport
Association group. We will return next year, Rain or Shine. I am also
certain, that the Red Ball Members will support our 2005 show, rain or
shine.

---------
It takes months, if not the full year, to set up a show. "Rain or Shine" is
the only option. See you all at the MTA Show, National Guard Armory, Dover
NJ in April 2005 ??? I will post the dates as soon as we have a signed
contract.

The Dover Armory is empty of troops, as they were activated. AS ALWAYS,
keep all the National Guard, Reserves & Active Military Troops in your
Prayers. The Dover Devils are hauling Supplies & Equipment all over IRAQ &
we want them home safely.

A few MTA Members came up with a great way to help our troops. The local
Police departments routinely destroy old armor vests. The MTA has been
collecting them & sending them along with boxes of items, to make the troops
happy. The vests are placed under the seats, they sit on them & they hang
them inside their vehicles as added protection.

If any reader wants to assist, in collecting used vests & are close to the
MTA, we will ship them. Our Military Vehicle Collectors have adopted the
Dover Unit. We also support several other Units & the Family Relief Groups
of many units.

Hey Jim, how do you like the way I eliminated the Whiner complaint & turned
it into a pitch for the troops ???
