FW: [MV] Air over hydraulic brake information for possible M35a2 swap?

I can answer part of this question. Converting to airbrakes requires some
pretty major modifications at each wheel, including replacing the hubs, the
drums, and the backing plates. This is, of course, the best of all
possible worlds for a big truck, but is expensive to the tune of around
$5000.

Why not go with air brakes right away? Also, didn't
Tom rig up two air packs/master cylinders to address
the problem you are concerned about? As far as the
gearing goes, how about an auxilary box?
Theoretically you could then gear it to go 100 mph+
with all that torque from the 3208 and the speed rated
NDCC's. By the way, what RPM will a 3208 run anyway?
