On my vehicle the crane pedestal and outriggers are always at 90 deg angle
relatively to each other and the truck will never tilt unless the outrigger
on the lift side sinks into the ground or if there is not enough
counterweight (=outrigger not extended far enough for the lift).
This operator shown in the pictures should have stopped at image #2 and
re-aligned the truck or realized that the car was to heavy for his empty
(=no counter weight) truck, needless to say.
If it all happened at a slow pace, everybody should have been able to get
out of the way too. Hopefully they did.
