Yes the grease is normal. Used to lube the runflat. All the 2 piece wheels
use an oring seal also including the 12 bolt rims.

Hi All

I recently took a tire off one of my 8 bolt HMMWV rims and the inside of the

tire and rims were covered in grease. Is this some kind of standard
procedure? My only thought is that it done to plug up any leaky holes?

Also, on a 12 bolt rims, is there a rubber seal that goes between the rims?
