It is not worth the trouble to change the (banjo) axle chuck to gain speed
as the gain is so little if that is what you were contemplating for a CCKW.
I also seem to recall that the number of splines were different.
6.66 x 1
-------- = 108 % of original
6.17 x 1
You could look for a Chev (civy 3 of them) with the 5.34 or 5.38 gears which
would
be worth the work. Side gears must be changed due to axle spline differences
6.66 x 1
-------- = 123 % of original
5.38 x 1
If you substitute a Chev xfer, you get:
1 x 1
-------- = 143 % of original
.7 x 1
