Operation Crawfish

For those of us sitting home, wondering how we can help and, how we can
best utilize of vehicles, I want to tell you about the efforts of the
MTAofNJ.

Today, the MTA gathered their vehicles at two National Guard Armorys. We
loaded pallets upon pallets of donated bottled water on our trucks, and
convoyed about 100 miles to McGuire AFB in the central part of the
state, for off loading and eventual delivery of the water to the Gulf
Coast. As fast as the water was unloaded, more donations were arriving
to take their place. It will be a long time until all the water is
delivered.

Since most, if not all the guard units throughout the country have the
majority of their transportation currently deployed, why not take a few
minutes to contact them and offer the use of your truck where it is
disparately needed - close to home? It may not be any where as exciting
as being in the trenches but, it is unquestionably something that will
do a tremendous amount of good.

Just a thought, especially for those who are so far away from the Gulf
Coast.
