Propane provides fewer BTU's per volume than Gasoline.

Propane is a derivative of crude oil. Its price is dependent upon the price
of oil in the open market.

The gas that comes out of the ground, and is put into pipelines is (Liquid)
Natural Gas. It is a naturally occurring ground product. It is converted to
a liquid for ease of storage and transportation.

The prices of these two products are not directly related, although the two
industries adhere to a certain type of parity in their pricing.
