Hi Bruce
Propane or LPG is made from petroleum stock in the refining process so it is
closely paralleling the price of gasoline etc. In MA the price of LPG has
gone through the roof and typically you will get around 10% worse mileage as
well and less power. There is no benefit to converting to propane unless
your situation is that you have a convenient low cost source for it. The
plus side is that the engine runs cleaner and lasts longer and the exhaust
is less toxic by far if you are driving around in a mine or a wharehouse.

Subject: [MV] Propane conversion
Does anyone know the cost of propane relative to a gal of gasoline? Also, is
propane an oil derivative and therefore dependant on oil prices? Are there
any other issues with propane, like taxes, etc.?
Any one know of adapters for use with a multifuel engine?
Thanks for any input on this,
