Well I went and bought a 4L80E to put in my project M1045. It has a stock 5.2 and original wiring harness and all.
I figured a tranny swap out was an easy fix. Oh yah, I guess the E stands for.......... ELECTRONIC! Duh
So, has anyone out there installed a 4L80E in a HMMWV or CUCV? If so, how did you deal with the electronics on the tranny.
I am guessing it needs power, and needs to track engine RPM. What else?
