A friend of mine was a tanker and eventually Battalion XO before
heading off to the Pentagon a few years ago. He has told me stories
and shown me pictures that leave one with the impression we shouldn't
be surprised at stuff like this, rather surprised that more things like
this don't happen on a regular basis. Even during training, especially
at NTC. Big hunks of metal tend to attract trouble even during
favorable peacetime conditions!
