I know a fellow who has what appears to be a "street rod" late 40s or early
50s with modern front end, rear end.and engine and car has some chrome on it
and is painted with gray primer and he calls it a "staff car" and parades it
with WWII vehicles.

However to give you a better answer somewhere I saw photo of a Buick in OD
livery with stars and lettering for US Army - original photo
