Anyone know what paint configuration the deuce fire trucks (I believe
was once the property of a Volunteer Fire Department. I suspect that
they are the ones who painted it red. I say this because, back when I
was in the Army Reserve, we used to train with a unit of Fire Fighters
that was stationed in northern Wisconsin. Every piece of equipment that
they brought to train with was painted OD, and appeared to have been
painted that way when it was built. As I recall, the entire truck was
painted OD. This was before the use of cammo paint, back when the white
stars and lettering were still in use.

they were the M45-A2s) came in originally? Did most of them serve in
red livery or OD? Just curious, there's a really nice one in Oregon at
the GSA auction site, red paint job looks FAR too complete to be
non-stock.
