ARRRGH!

This is a perfect example of what I was talking about.

Here we have a seller who could be better connected to the MV community IF there was a forum. and IF there was a central forum for disposing of these he might not have been in such a hurry to dispose of them. He might also have had a better idea as to what potential his trucks had if sold as a whole, and if they had very little potential as a whole, what their individual take-off parts were worth. Of course I acknowledge that not every owner/seller has the mood or wherewithall to disassemble his vehicles.

Now, in his haste to be rid of these he's in a 'take-it all, or take nothing' mode with what seems to me to be fairly high prices that will likely be a major stumbling block to getting them connected with the hobby. The reality is that these hulks probably aren't in any real condition to make a restoration financially feasable, but they possess many parts that should be kept and distributed to the hobby.

So, here we are AGAIN. For lack of a central forum, a seller isn't able to get connected with and adequately comprehend a market he's probably unfamiliar with, and these trucks will probably end up going through the shredder and lost forever. So, just from looking at his pics, our hobby will have lost potentially rebuildable engines, drivelines, six 5-lug combat rims, a Dodge winch bumper assembly, war dated split-ring rims, Tulsa winches, tow hooks and other assorted and sundry pieces and parts. Gone FOREVER.

One of you enterprising individuals with knowledge and skill of the internet needs to be building a kick-ass website that will be THE NUMBER ONE CENTRAL place to look for and offer MV take-off parts located within the United States, with a sterling reputation or honesty and integrity, that gives advice to sellers as to their vehicle's potental value as a whole or in parts, and linked to EVERY MV-related site it can reach. We NEED to get guys like Mister 6x6 and the hobbists together.
