There were reports (likely false IMO) that before Gulf War #1, the US shipped
printers to Iraq which contained viruses and that those viruses took down
Saddam's air defense and communications systems.
If RF IDs can be easily scrambled, it's going to be tough to get the right food,
clothes, ammo, spares, and who knows what else to those who need it urgently.
Remember also that many microchips are made in countries who don't exactly like
the US (Malaysia, China, ...)
