Load capacity of tactical trucks is off road and 60 percent grade. Most
are capable of twice that load (give or take a little) on road. My M-37
is rated 3/4 ton off road, 1 ton on road and has seen 1 1/2 ton for a
short distance on road. I don't think I would run 1 1/2 ton loads often
without some helper springs but I have heard that the big trucks are
very under rated.
