Rust is the #1 enemy of 715's, which are made of lighter gauge sheet metal
than the Dodge M37's and many other Military Vehicles. The spot you mention
is very common, as is rust-out from the inside of the cowl drain area. Look
up under the dash on this truck you're considering and I bet you will find
rust bubbles (or worse) at the corner where the horizontal and vertical sheet
metal panels meet. What happens often is that the cowl vent drains become
clogged and water and crud gather in there. Also, the cab sills and rear
corners often rust out from gathering water in the nooks and crannies.
Patching the floor holes you mention should'nt be too hard, but I have never
done them. Hope this herlps some.
