Hi Robert,
The Wessex Saker FAV is very rare outside the British Army. The only
genuine one I know of that has been sold outside the British Army is the
one that Ernie Freeland aquired from the manufacturers. It was given
back to the company by the SAS for modifications, which they
subsequently no longer required. Ernie sold it at the Beltring show two
years ago (I believe for about 15,000 UK pounds). Ernie recently moved
and I only have a UK phone number for him. I will check out his new
address for you, as he can give you all the info you require.
On another non military note.....I have been working on the family
history (Brookes, Brooks, Brook, Bruck etc etc are the same it all
depended on how well the vicar could spell when entering details). WE
have got back to around 1620 and have a record of the first to travel to
the USA in 1608. If you want to discuss this or anything else contact
me by email direct.

It was Will Power that kept the British Army on the move !!
