Tony,

>Can anyone fill me in on how to tell which Trico vacuum motor would be
correct for a WW2 jeep?

There were several versions used; all the WW2 jeeps had vacuum motors
without a barbed air intake (that is, with only a barbed vacuum
connection). The intake was used on later models and connected to an
air filter under the instrument panel.

> Any hints on testing these motors?

They are usually trouble-free provided that the shaft is not bent or
broken and everything moves freely. You want to be sure that the paddle
seals reasonably well; a little oil or saddle soap sometimes helps if
you have a basket case on your hands. You can feel the amount of seal
by holding a finger over the open end of the hose barb and turning the
shaft back and forth through its normal range of operation. You should
be able to feel resistance from the air pressure.

> does anyone have the wiper blade assembly available?

Non-original replacements are available from most dealers including
Beachwood, Willys Jeep Parts, Willys Minneapolis, and others.

> I live in Seattle and these hand wipers are getting to be a pain!!

Don't throw them away. Many people have the opposite problem and are
trying to find the correct hand wipers for a jeep that someone modified.

Because the MB has no fuel pump vacuum connection, you have to expect
your wipers to stop when operating the engine at low RPMs and open
throttle.
