Is the WC-53 finished???Have the VC's arrived???
I bought a DUKW-rear axle brake lining modification set, still in
original crate from Jaap. I haven't opened the crate yet, because
I'm afraid that I might brake it (perhaps there's nothing in it).
The late '44 and early '45 CCKW's and DUKW's where supposed to have
the same rear brake system like the Dodge, that is one brake hose
from chassis to axle instead of the usual brake hose for every
wheel. I have never seen a DUKW or CCKW with this brake system,
except for my own '45 CCKW from which I removed the axles to use
on the DUKW (I removed the brake system very carefully though).
Have you ever heard of this modification kit???
We've got a new engine in the WC-1, and we're working on the WC-26.
