Appreciate the info. Its sad that there are so few left. I guess we can
assume that there are between 5 and 10 thousand WWII jeeps out there from
what has gone around the list. When you consider that there were almost
700,000 made thats a pretty small pool of survivors. I suppose also that WWII
jeeps seem more common than they are because there were so many look-alikes
made later. After all, even at the biggest MV rallys, whats the most WWII
jeeps you have ever seen in the same place at the same time? 5 to 10? maybe
15? The USM list published in 1995 only contains 1200 jeeps but it seems
huge! I'm sure that they are not all still out there either. Especially sad
when consider that the "WWII Army jeep" is, without a doubt in my mind, the
most famous motor vehicle of all time. Military or civilian! Makes me glad I
got mine when I did!
