[MV] M-1009 Blazer

I have found an ex-USMC CUCV that I am interested in. It has an NP 208
transfer case and TH 400 transmission. Was this standard? I thought it had
an NP 205 transfer case. Is there a difference, other than gear vs. chain
driven? I had also heard that the military Blazers were rated at 3/4 tons,
but it appears it has the 6 stud wheel pattern, 10 bolt differential 1/2 ton
axles. Is the rating a result of the springs? It is a good deal, but I
don't want to get something that has been cannibalized. If anyone on the
list happens to have a military blazer, could you please EMail me back so I
could bounce a few questions off of you.

Thanks,
Sean
