I used to have a buddy who was a pilot and happened to meet the right people
in china...so he was selling ex chinese army airplanes for a while.
His experience seemed to be that the cash starved countries like china and
most of the old eastern block would hapilly sell anything short of a nuke to
you if you had the cash and asked the right people.
There aren't as many subs out there as there are MIGS and tanks..but if you
look hard enough I'm sure there are old eastern block subs sitting in
mothballs because the govt.s cant afford the diesel to run 'em.
There probably are pretty strict us govt regulations on owning a sub, but
maybe you can avoid that by registering it in the bahamas, or some place else
that's just happy to levy taxes on it. I know they were doing that with Migs,
because the FAA doesnt like private pilots owning supersonic jet fighters...I
guess they crash too much.
You would just have to be real carefullabou being blown out of the water, any
navy in the world that picks you up on sonar would assume you are a bad guy.
Better carry a couple torpedos for self defense.
