Sounds like a good idea, and I am not sure that camping is not already on
the agenda, but I will check it out and let you know. I do know that the
vendors will spill over into and use the area used for vehicle displays this
year. The vehicles will be down the road, I'm not sure exactly where yet.
Camping is also a possibility, I expect to have a trailer there myself, and
maybe also a room at the host hotel for a night or two. My wife will be
working on registration or whatever, as she did this year. So I have to
consider her comfort to keep the ledger straight.
All for now.

Rick:
Finally able to return with some information regarding camping at the MVPA
convention next August 5-8, 1998.
Vendors will be able to camp in the display area with their goodies, as they
can do now at regular Redball Rallies. There is no extra charge for this
beyond the regular cost of their space. There are no hookups.
There will be camping for visitors, also at no charge, in a nearby area.
However, this space is limited, first come, first served. There will be
between 50 and 75 sites available, depending on how many reservations are
received. Few reservations, larger sites. 75 reservations, smaller sites. No
hookups. Water and porta-potties will be available. Showers in the barracks.
For reservations call either Harry Arnst at 717-421-5935, RR1 Box 1053
Stroudsburg, PA 18360 or Rod McGuirk, 717-646-3961, HC88 Box69, Pocono Lake,
PA 18347. If a bunch from the list want to get together
and camp in one area, make your plans, call Harry or Rod and get the
reservations in so they can hold those sites. Otherwise, like I said before,
put up a sign at the Reservation Tent to set up a meeting time.
I know Tobyhanna State Park is nearby with some campsites, I believe that
some sites have hookups. Not sure exactly what. Haven't been there for 10
years at least.
There are also many private campgrouds in the Poconos. Look in your camping
guide.
Hope this will answer you questions. If not, let me know.
