The 'new' repros are very good and I would recommend them, especially
as a re-tube always seems to cost more than getting an original fixed.
There is a good case for a re-tube if you have an excellent original
guage or you are doing a concours job and need exactly the right tube
length, for example. I'd buy a repro but keep the original somewhere
