I have a chevy 283 ci engine and a chevy 4 speed transmission in my 53 m37.
Recently, I needed to put in a new transmission. I purchased a Muncie 435 New
Process Chevy transmission from a parts house along with a bell housing and
with a few mods, put it in. The unmated transfer case and transmission makes
it easy. They driveshaft had to be shortened 1.5" and fitted with a new U-
joint. The truck drives like a dream now.
